Do I need to be Puerto Rican to join El Batey programs?

Absolutely not. While El Batey is rooted in Puerto Rican culture and serves the Puerto Rican community in Buffalo, all of our programs are open to everyone. We welcome people of all backgrounds who want to learn, grow, and connect with our community.
How much do programs cost? / ¿Cuánto cuestan los programas?

El Batey strives to make all programs accessible regardless of financial situation. We offer sliding-scale fees and scholarship assistance. Please contact us to discuss your family's needs — we will work with you to ensure cost is never a barrier to participation.
What age groups do you serve? / ¿A qué grupos de edad sirven?

We serve ages 2 through adult with a Bomba & Plena class for every stage: Baby Bomba (ages 2–4) for parents and toddlers together, Chiqui Bomba (ages 5–10), and our teen Bembé Buleo and Bembé Baile programs (ages 11–18+).
